They're HOME!!!!

On February 2nd at about 10:30 PM my mom and Kent made it home from serving in the Roseville California Mission!!! They were welcomed home by most of the family (Steph was not able to be there) waiting at their home in Parowan. Mark even brought the red and blue lights with him. Yes he got pulled over and the cops followed him all the way to their home. That's what he gets for trying to pass Zach and I on the off ramp and going 82 down Parowan Main HAHAHA Anyway, I was so excited for my mom and Kent to meet Ridge. It was like Christmas but even better. I was so excited all day long. It was so fun to see them even though we were only there for a few minutes. They were so tired because they had driven all day longbut they were also so excited to be home.

Here is the banner that Amber got made for them. Nobody got the memo that I was trying to take a picture and most everyone headed back into the house. We thought we would get a better picture later but it looks like that never happened.

Here is Ridge meeting his Grandpa Wooley.

My mom was so excited to see all the grandkids!! This was her first time meeting Ridge and it was a little crazy because everyone wanted to she her!!

Ridge is 5 months!!

On Feb 10, Ridge was 5 months old!! I cannot believe how fast time goes when you have a baby in the house. We are so glad that he is a part of our family!! I think he gets tired of all the hugs and slobbery kisses from his brother and sisters but he is so LOVED and we are so blessed to have him!!

Ridge weighs in at 17 lbs 8 oz
he is 24 inches long, and he has two teeth!!
Some of Ridge's favorites at 5 months:
Getting undressed
To roll around on the floor (he travels pretty far)
To hang out with Dad and get bounced
Play with his toy chains
Listen to music
Lay on his belly
Play with his toes
His car seat and car rides
Sweet potatoes and squash
His bath

Some things Ridge doesn't like:
Rice Cereal-it makes him throw up
Sleeping through the night- he has yet to do that
bottles

Ridge is such a fun baby and brings a smile to our face every time we see him. We love you Ridge and can't wait to see what you will do next!!

MY BOYS!!!

Our Smart little Saydee

Saydee was so excited that she had earned two eagle awards this month at school. Eagle awards are part of the accelerated reading program at East Elementary. She had earned her blue and her green eagle. She has started reading Junie B Jones books and so it takes a little time to read them and take a test but she has been reading everyday so that she could get these awards. I actually had to ask her to put her book down a few times because she was neglecting other things that needed to be done. Saydee loves school and is super smart. She loves to do homework and comes in the door and gets started on it. Starting this week her teacher has given her a special assignments for homework, writing stories to be published, making wordsearches for her class to do, and fluency tests. Saydee is so excited about these assignments that she wrote 3 stories to be published in the first week!!

So I wasn't too surprised that Saydee also earned the CATCH THE VISION Award for her class!!! This award is award to one student each month who works extra hard and also helps others. We are so proud of you Saydee!! She recieved a book bag for this award and gets her picture taken and put in the hall.

Ryder's favorite past time...

Most days Ryder can be found reading Hunting Magazines. He has loved to look at hunting magazines since he was about 1!! His Uncle Jared and Aunt Amber bought him his very own magazine for his 2nd birthday and it was one of his favorite presents. He always leaves Grandpa Sherratt's with a new magazine. He loves to read them to his friends and tell them all about all the animals and tells them that he is going to shoot one like that when he is older. Ryder loves to play "HUNT" and make tree stands and hide with his guns and wait for the big bucks. I sure hope that there are some deer left for him when he is old enough to hunt!! Ryder you make us smile everyday!!
