Santa Did come!!!

Saydee and I each got a hat with a flower on it. She hasn't taken hers off since Christmas

Zach was very excited to find not only one but two trailcams under the tree.

All Skylar has wanted this year was all the Holly Hobbie movies and that is what Santa brought her.

Her is Saydee posing with her new camera. Watch for her new blog she thinks she is going to start soon???

Ryder was excited to finally get a boy scooter!! No more princess and Barbie bikes for him!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope all of you did too. We were able to spend a lot of time with family and enjoyed every minute of it. Now on to the New Year!!!!

Christmas Dance Recital

On December 18, Saydee and Skylar had their dance recital. They both did a great job and looked super cute.

Skylar dancing to rudolph the red nosed reindeer.
Saydee dancing to Rockin around the Christmas Tree.

The girls love to go to dance each week but the really love recital time. They love to wear their cute costumes and put on mom's make up. They also love to be on stage.

SNOW!!!

It finally snowed and the kids were so excited. Skylar loves to eat the snow and Saydee loves to play in it. Saydee was so excited that she got Ryder all bundled up to go out and play in the snow and they headed out the door before I noticed Saydee had forgotten one pretty important thing. Ryder's gloves!!! It was his first time out in the snow and he thought it was great until he fell down in it. He wanted to go inside and get warm. Poor little Ryder!

Family Christmas Party

Last Sunday, December 15, we had our Family Christmas Party. I was in charge of it but somehow my sister Amanda ended up doing a lot of it (Thanks Mandy) It is always so much fun to be with all my brothers and sisters and their kids and of course my mom and Kent!! We had dinner at Mandy's house and then we played some games and the kids made candy trains. We then acted out the nativity but with 12 kids and 10 of them under 6 years old it was a big job!!! I didn't get very many good pictures but I do have to post one of Skylar because it fits her sooo well. She wanted to be Mary but when she realized she was not the only Mary she was not too happy, so then she wanted to be an angel and when she realized she was not the only angel so was pretty upset.

Happy Birthday Ryder!!!

Ryder turned 2 today!!! I cannot believe it. It is such a joy in our lives and he makes us laugh at least 20 times a day. He is 100% boy! I think people must think that we sit at home and brain wash him because he talks about hunting and bulls and bucks all the time. He love binoculars and he can even say it. We had a dutch oven dinner Sunday for the family. It was a lot of fun and Ryder was so excited when he saw his cake with a buck on it!!
Ryder's great grandma and grandpa Hiskey were able to come to dinner. We are so blessed to live near them here in Cedar City and be able to spend time with them. They are such wonderful example to us and our children.

Ryder with his rubber band gun that McKall and Reese gave him. They gave him a camo jacket and this gun so he could go out huntin'

Here he is readin up on all the huntin' He spends a lot of time looking at huntin' magazines.

His cake turned out really cute (Thanks Carisa for your help)

I cannot believe that my baby is TWO!!! Ryder we love you so much and hope you had a great birthday!!

We want ICE CREAM!!

For any of you who know Skylar, she is very independant. Anytime I leave her alone in the living room she ends up in the kitchen. It really drives me crazy but this time I decided to just laugh and take a picture. At least she was sharing with Ryder

All I want for Christmas!!!

The Friday after Thanksgiving we went to Tuachan to see the live Nativity. It was really neat, we try to go every year. After the presentation we saw Santa and of course the kids wanted to get their requests in early, so we let them go sit and chat with him.

Saydee is a pro at this by now. She jumped right up on his lap and asked for a 4 wheeler?? WHAT??? Where did that come from???? She had mentioned an easy bake oven, a camera, and a CD player. I had never even heard her talk of that. She assured me that Santa said she could have it but I told her not to be disappointed if it didn't come.
Ryder had a little shy moment when he was placed on the jolly old saint nick's lap. Santa didn't know how to respond to him pulling his hat as far over his eyes as possible so he just smiled for the camera and didn't bother to ask Ryder what he wanted.

Skylar is getting a lot better at sitting on Santa's lap. (Last year she fell asleep so we have a picture of her asleep in Santa's arms) She was too shy to speak to him so she had me ask him if she could have all the HOLLY HOBBY movies. I don't know why she loves those so much but that is all she wants. I sure hope they are all good so they can have all their holiday wishes come true.

Feeding the Ducks

There is the funnest pond in Parowan. Kent was so excited to take the kids to feed the ducks he went and bought 4 loafs of bread and loaded up his car with all 12 grandkids and headed to the duck pond. They had a blast and the ducks had never been fed so well.

Thanksgiving #1

Mom and Kent had a great Thanksgiving dinner the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It was so much fun to be together with the family.

My greatest blessing!!!

Here is Zach carving the Turkey. He misses his meat cutting days. I think that was his favorite job ever!!!

Saydee and her cousins just can't get enough of each other. Dakota is 6 months older than her and Jacey is 3 weeks younger. They all get along so well and love to play every chance they get.

Skylar was ready to eat long before it was time. She sat at the table and ate all the pickles and olives.
