Valentine Cookies

We went up to Salt Lake to visit Robby and Camille and their family last weekend and had a great time. It had been a long time since we had been up there and Zach wanted to go to the Western Hunting Expo. The boys all went to that while us girls went out shopping. After a little shopping the little girls wanted to go home so got a $5 pizza and hired a babysitter for them. Sonia, Camille and I all went to lunch and a movie and shopped some more. It was a ton of fun and we need to do it more often. Later that afternoon Grandma Sherratt helped all the grandkids decorate valentine cookies. They all had a ton of fun and they turned out pretty cute.

Elder and Sister Humpherys

Well my mom and Kent left for the MTC on Monday morning at about 6 AM. The family got together Sunday at 4:30 (yes the same time as the Superbowl) and went to the Stake President's office at 5:00 to see them set apart as full time missionaries. It was so neat and the spirit was so strong even with 14 grandkids trying to sit still. President Vincent gave them both great blessings and he also gave us some words of advice. I know that they are where they should be even if I am going to miss them sooo much. We went back their house after and had cake and ice cream. Saying goodbye was really hard but I know that Heavenly Father is aware of our family and he is going to take care of us. We love you Elder and Sister Humpherys!!!

Daddy Daughter Date

Last Saturday, Skylar's preschool had a Father activity. They had pizza for lunch and then they made little flag poles. Zach and Skylar had a great time and their flag turned out pretty cool too.

Saydee's Award

On January 23 I got a phone call from Mrs. George, Saydee's teacher saying that Saydee had been chosen to get the "Catch the Vision" award at their flag ceremony. Saydee was not planning on going to school because she had a little cold but I told her teacher I would bring her for the flag ceremony. Saydee was sooo excited. She loves school and she is a great student. She is very helpful in her classroom and helps other students who are not understanding. She did very well on her dibals test and is well above grade level. She is reading on a level E which is the end of first grade. I am so proud of her and she is such a joy. Everyday she comes home from school and I ask her how her day is and she always says GREAT!!! I hope she will always have such a great attitude and love for learning.
