EgG RolLiNg

Zach's family has a tradition of rolling easter eggs. It is so much fun and usually we hike up a big hill and roll them down. This year the weather did not cooperate so we moved our Easter Festivities to Zach's mom and dad's house and rolled the eggs down the driveway. It was as fun as always and maybe a little more fun because of all the extended family we had with us this year. There were dozens and dozens of eggs rolled down the driveway and it made for a big mess but a lot of fun. Here is Saydee rolling her prize eggs down the hill.

Ryder was pretty good at this game for it being his first year doing it completely by himself.

Skylar loved watching her eggs crash down the hill and if they didn't break apart she would go recover them and roll them again.

Coloring Easter Eggs

We have colored Easter Eggs since Saydee was 7 months old and my kids always look forward to it. This year we did it the Wednesday before Easter because they just couldn't wait. It was a lot of fun. Ryder thought it was cool to throw the eggs into the dye and see the splash. He didn't make too much of a mess but he did crack about half of his eggs, which made Saydee upset.
Saydee carefully picked her colors and the one she is pointing to is all the colors mixed, she thought it looked like a watermelon.

Skylar was very proud of her creations, I think she named each and every one of them.

OuR EaStEr EgG HuNt

Every year for the past 13 years my mom and Kent have put on an Easter Egg Hunt for the grand kids. This year with them being gone (We miss you both) Mandy decided that we still needed to do it. We had planned numerous different days and we finally decided on Wednesday. Jared ended up with pneumonia so his family was unable to be there. Steph was a little hesitant about the weather so she was not there but the tradition went on. We did it at the park and Makenzie and Brooklyn did a great job hiding the eggs for the kids.
This past Tuesday it was such a nice day. Jacey was over at our house playing and the kids were all out on the deck and next thing I know they are sitting around a table tanning their legs. I am not sure it was quite that nice. ;) It is so fun to have Saydee and Jacey such great friends and cousins. They have so much fun together and play with each other almost everyday.
